Prawns on a Stick – Goan Style

Prawns on a Stick – Goan Style – aka “Goan Prawn Satay” is a simple but fancy prep fully worthy of lining you party buffet table. Looks pretty and tastes yum. You can serve is as a side with drinks too. The recipe needs just a couple of basic masala powders and some fresh prawns.

Yield: 6 Servings

Prep. Time: 15 Mins + Marination

Cooking Time: 6 Mins

Ingredients:

  • Prawns (shelled & deveined) – 30 medium
  • Bamboo Skewers – 5
  • Kashmiri Red Chilly Powder – 1 tsp.
  • Turmeric Powder – ¼ tsp
  • Lime – ½
  • Oil – 2 tbsp.
  • Salt – 1 tsp. or as needed.

Step 1:      Soak the bamboo skewers in water.

Step 2:      Marinate the prawns with the salt, chilly powder, turmeric powder and lime juice and leave aside for 15 minutes.

Step 3:      Skewer about 5 prawns on each presoaked skewer as shown in the picture.

Step 4:      Heat 2 tbsp oil in a pan and when hot shallow fry the prawn stick on medium heat for 2 to 3 minutes on each side. Serve hot.
