The Mango Mousse is a simple – no cook recipe that you’ll love to make in the mango season. It takes very little time to whip up this lip-licking dessert. Try your hand at it now – before the mangoes of this season are out of stock.
Serves: A Family of Four
Prep. Time: 30 Mins
Ingredients:
[ Standard Measure: 1 cup = 250 ml ]
Step 1: Take cold water (¼ cup) in a bowl. Sprinkle the gelatin over it and let it bloom for 10 to 15 minutes.
Step 2: Transfer the fresh cream to a bowl and whisk it for 2 to 3 minutes.
Step 3: Add the condensed milk and mix well with a whisk.
Step 4: Add the mango puree and mix in lightly with whisk.
Step 5: Melt the gelatin using a double boiler (see here for how to make and use a double boiler). The gelatin has to just melt. Do not overheat it as it will stink and go bad (also never heat it on direct flame).
Step 6: Add the molten gelatin to the mango–cream mixture and mix it well.
Step 8: Then, either pour this mixture into a single big bowl or in 4 to 6 small serving bowls.
Step 9: Pour a spoonful of mango puree and twirl it to make designs, using a toothpick.
Step 10: Cover with cling film and keep in the refrigerator. Serve chilled.
