Goan Moska Saanga Bhaji

The Goan Moska Saanga Bhaji is a dry preparation of drumsticks. The vegetable is just steamed and the recipe does not use any spices. All you have is the natural taste of the drumsticks and a little coconut to add sweetness.

Serves: A Family of Four

Prep. Time: 15 Mins.

Cooking Time: 15 Mins.

Ingredients:

  • Drumsticks – 4 to 5
  • Onion (finely chopped) – 1 medium
  • Tomato (finely chopped) – 1 medium
  • Green Chillies (cut into 1 inch pieces) – 2
  • Coconut (grated) – 3 tbsp.
  • Salt – ½ tsp.

Step 1:     Peel the drumsticks and cut into 3 inch pieces.

Step 2:     Place the drumsticks in a vessel with the onion and tomatoes. Add the salt and 50 ml water. Cover and cook on low heat for 10 minutes.

Step 3:     Later, add the grated coconut, green chillies and cook covered for another 3 to 4 minutes till the drumsticks are done.
