Serves : A Family of Four

Prep. Time : 20 Mins.

Cooking Time : 10 Min. (active) + 20 Mins. (passive)

Ingredients:

  • Basmati Rice – 1 ½ cup (wash and soak for 20 minutes)
  • Water – 2 ½ cups
  • Clarified Butter (Ghee) – 2 tsp.
  • Salt –½ tsp. or to taste

Step 1:     Boil 2 ½ cups water in a non-stick vessel.

Step 2:     Drain the soaked rice. Add the rice, salt and ghee to the boiling water. Cover and cook on low heat for 10 minutes till all the water is absorbed.

Step 3:     Switch off the heat and keep covered for 15 to 20 minutes.

Step 4:     Fluff the rice with a fork and leave uncovered to cool. Once cooled use it in your pulao.
